Browser Support
Since web browsers are provided by a wide range of vendors, all of which utilise their own web view
implementations, there can be inconsistencies in support for various features. An example of one of
these consistencies is the subtle differences in support for predefined (named) colours used in
webpage styling.
Use the interactive panel below to simulate a browser that only supports CSS 2.1 colours.
Assistive Technologies
In addition to robust content supporting a wide range of conventional browsers, it’s also important
to support alternative user agents such as screen readers. A screen reader is an assistive
technology utilised by users with vision impairments to audibly interpret webpages.
Use the interactive panel below to simulate a basic screen reader. Adjust the various metadata
properties to see how it impacts the screen readers ability to interpret the page.
